Wylie Tartan
Tartan: Scottish, a blending of linen and wool woven cloth, striping in various widths and colors to create a unique pattern, created for a specific clan.
Wylie Tartan Remix was created to bring back the tradition of the tartans and clan representation but making it current by using trend forecasting and color research to make a modern plaid. Using colors that are trending for 2020 and 2021, they have pops of color and added neutrals, creating the perfect palette fit for any child. This collection of garments features classic silhouettes giving a nod to my heritage, and allowing traditions to be reimagined and remixed.
Material: warp & weft- 10/2 cotton, Supima cotton, reactive dye & buttons
Process: weaving (4 harness floor loom), ice dyeing & weaving
